Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Tottenham aren’t planning to let Vuskovic leave. He’s been one of the standout defenders in the Bundesliga for Hamburg. Tottenham see him as a key part of their plans for the future whatever league that is in, obviously they want that to be in the Premier League.
“He’s under contract until 2030 and Tottenham are preparing to offer him a new and improved deal to fend off growing interest from Europe’s top clubs. You’ve got the likes of Bayern Munich, Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool all looking at Vuskovic. Spurs wanted for him to get regular first team football ready to come back and challenge for a place in the Tottenham side and that’s what I fully expect them to do next season. Spurs have no plans to lose him.”
Alongside both Bayern Munich and Liverpool, a number of elite European clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on Vuskovic’s performances this season.
His impressive form at Hamburg means despite Spurs’ reluctance to sell, there are no shortage of suitors for the centre-back, and clubs could look to lure him away.
