One of Tottenham Hotspur’s long-standing commercial partners has decided to end its association with the North London club, according to the Telegraph.

The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have been informed by the unnamed key sponsor that their partnership will end at the end of the season.

Spurs will be losing millions as a result and they could be dealt more blows as other sponsors and commercial partners are deliberating whether or not to follow suit.

Tottenham have found themselves in a relegation battle after a woeful Premier League campaign and could be in more trouble if they lose to Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday.

They finished 17th in the league table last term and are currently 16th after 26 games, five points above the relegation zone.

Sponsors are afraid Spurs could be battling relegation again next season even if they escape the drop this term.

Tottenham fans are angry at the performances of their club and some of them have not been going to the stadium to watch games.

It has left some of their commercial partners thinking, and more could decide to pull out of deals as they do not want to associate with a club whose supporters dislike.

Some of the contracts Spurs signed with these sponsors include lucrative bonuses based on European qualification, while some have relegation renegotiation and termination clauses.

The Lilywhites brought in Igor Tudor to replace Thomas Frank and will hope the Croatian can help immediately improve their fortunes on the pitch in the Premier League.

Tottenham have found themselves out of the big-six in England in recent months and will need to improve significantly over the coming months to retain some of their key commercial partners.
