Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in pole position to land Leroy Sane after the winger’s agent, Pini Zahavi, held conversations with the Lilywhites as well as their North London rivals.
We are still waiting to see how the cookie crumbles regarding the winger’s future as the soon-to-be out-of-contract Sane is still in discussions with Bayern Munich over a new deal.
According to reports, Tottenham are increasingly confident of winning the race for Sane if he fails to reach an agreement with the Bundesliga giants.
It has been alleged that Daniel Levy’s close relationship with Zahavi gives Spurs an advantage over other suitors for Sane, but a new report has provided another reason why the Lilywhites are ahead of the competition for the German winger.
Tottenham ready to offer big signing-on bonus to Leroy Sane
According to Sky Sports, Zahavi is now hard at work to assess the various options for his clients and he has spoken to both Tottenham and Arsenal regarding a free transfer.
The report claims that the super-agent has been able to negotiate ‘a much higher financial offer’ with Spurs than their North London rivals.
It is explained that Tottenham have offered an ‘impressive signing bonus’ to Sane in an effort to bring him to N17 while they have also promised the player ‘an undisputed starting place on the right wing’.

The outlet claims that the 29-year-old is seduced by the idea of returning to the Premier League and wants to become the ‘figurehead’ of a new project.
Bayern are not optimistic about tying Sane to a new deal
Sky Sports say that the German international has not ruled out the possibility of signing a new contract at the Allianz Arena.
However, Zahavi’s latest negotiations with Bayern director Max Eberl have left ‘little room for optimism’ that an agreement will be reached between the parties.
Sane has also received ‘concrete offers’ from Turkey and Saudi Arabia, but the winger wants to continue playing at the highest level to keep his place in the German national side, which is why a move to Spurs is ‘increasingly likely’ for the former Manchester City man.
