It is understood that Eberechi Eze has a £68 million release clause that is active until Friday, according to various sources. Reports indicate that Tottenham have contacted Palace to clarify the structure of Eze’s release clause, to determine whether they might trigger it.

Mike McGrath has also revealed that Tottenham are looking to step up their pursuit of Eze in the coming days, with the Lilywhites keen to secure a new number ten following James Maddison’s injury.
