Tottenham are battling Newcastle United for the signing of La Liga star.

Tottenham Hotspur are already closing in on two fresh faces ahead of next season. The North Londoners are set to welcome both Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers from Liverpool and Bournemouth, respectively, in June, to kick off the Roberto De Zerbi era.

Spurs narrowly avoided relegation and finished 17th on the table this past season, so it is unlikely they will be done by potentially adding Robertson and Senesi to their roster. The wing department requires attention due to a lack of depth and injury issues. De Zerbi was forced to use Djed Spence as the right-winger on the final day of the season against Everton, which demonstrates how badly fresh blood on the flanks is required.

Also, Tottenham cannot go another transfer window without replacing the iconic Son Heung-min, who left the club after a decade in the summer of 2025.

Tottenham interested in signing Real Betis winger

According to a report from Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Real Betis winger Abde Ezzalzouli has emerged on the radar of Tottenham. The talented winger has a release clause worth €60m and is keen on a Premier League move ahead of next season.

Spurs aren’t the only English club keen on the Real Betis man. Newcastle United have identified Abde Ezzalzouli as a replacement for Anthony Gordon, who sealed a big-money move to Barcelona earlier this week. With Real Betis currently under pressure to complete a significant sale before the 30th June deadline, Abde could become the player sacrificed.

Newcastle United have upped their ante in the pursuit of the Moroccan international, who enjoyed an excellent 2025/26 campaign. The left-winger registered 15 goals and 13 assists in all competitions, and at 24, the former La Masia product is ready to make the step up to a bigger club.

From Tottenham’s perspective, they must challenge the Magpies for Abde’s signature. The Spanish-born African talent would add pace, dynamism, unpredictability and productivity to our attack. He’d be an instant upgrade on both Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani, bringing more cutting-edge flair in the final third. The Betis star is still not the finished product, and a manager like De Zerbi could help him unlock his true potential.
