FA Cup draw recap - Tottenham land Aston Villa at home with Arsenal at Portsmouth, Manchester United hosting Brighton and Liverpool v Barnsley
The draw for the third round of the Emirates FA Cup was live on TNT Sports and discovery+, with Joe Cole and Peter Crouch pulling the names out with 64 teams waiting to hear their fate. Record winners Arsenal and Manchester United joined the other Premier League sides at this stage of the competition alongside holders Crystal Palace, who defeated Manchester City 1-0 in last season's final.

The Emirates FA Cup third-round draw will get underway at approximately 18:40 UK time on December 8, at the start of TNT Sports' coverage of the second-round clash between Brackley Town and Burton Albion.

All the matches for the third round will be played on the weekend of Saturday,10 January 2026.
There will be no replays. If a match finishes level, it will go extra-time before being decided by penalties if required.
The holders are number 13 in the hat. Or bag tonight. Can't remember last time there was a hat at one of these draws. A top hat would probably be good for such a heady occasion.

National League side Boreham Wood booked their place in the third round of the FA Cup after a 3-0 win over League Two strugglers Newport County. Former Boreham Wood player and current manager Luke Garrard, who admitted himself to be an Arsenal fan, said he would "love" if his side got drawn against Mikel Arteta's team in the third round. The draw takes place on December 8.
