Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Porto striker Samu Aghehowa.
The 21-year-old Spanish international is highly rated across Europe, and clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle United are interested in the player as well. He is reportedly valued at €90 million according to a report from CaughtOffside.
Samu Aghehowa is an elite prospect
Tottenham are currently leading the race for his signature, and it will be interesting to see if they can get the deal done. He is highly rated across Europe, and the official FIFA website hails him as a talent who could dominate the sport like Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland in future.
“You might prefer to have a forward who gets involved in the build-up or who makes runs in behind, like Samu does,” former Spanish striker Jonathan Soriano told FIFA.
“We need forwards like him because that’s the direction football is heading in. It’s a quicker, more physical game nowadays. Players like him are extremely valuable. Samu is still very young and there’s massive scope for him to improve, but that’s no bad thing. He has so much potential, so much room to develop and a bright future ahead of him.”
Tottenham need Aghehowa
It is no secret that Tottenham need more quality in the final third, and the technically gifted attacker could prove to be an excellent addition. He has an imposing physique as well, and he could be the ideal fit for Premier League football.
He has been a prolific goal scorer for Porto since joining the club, and he has the quality to do well in English football. He could prove to be an upgrade on Dominic Solanke, who has not been able to score goals consistently. Aghehowa has 36 goals in 60 matches for Porto.
Spurs need to improve in that area of the pitch if they want to fight for major trophies. A quality striker could make a big difference for them. It will be interesting to see if they can get a deal for the 21-year-old attacker across the line.
Aghehowa will certainly hope to test himself at the highest level, and moving to the London club will be attractive for him.
