Tottenham Hotspur have moved to the front of the queue to land a versatile Serie A defender after first signalling an interest in the player several months ago.
Spurs fans are getting a little impatient over the last couple of weeks as the club are yet to make any big moves this summer at the start of the Thomas Frank era, with Mathys Tel being their only signing so far this window.
With pre-season fast approaching, some sources have said that we can expect Spurs to make two or three signings over the next few weeks.
It turns out that Spurs may soon make advances towards a Serie A star after it was first reported back in March that Tottenham had enquired about Genoa defender Koni de Winter.

Now, a new report in Corriere dello Sport (as relayed by Sport Witness) has asserted that Tottenham have moved to the front of the queue to land the versatile centre-back.
The report claims that Tottenham Hotspur scouted the Belgian international several times last season and are now best placed to secure a deal.
