Mikey Moore’s future at Rangers might be uncertain - but the on loan Tottenham Hotspur’s growing potential is undeniable as he reflects on a “special experience” at such an early stage in his career.
The 18-year-old winger has made a significant impact at Ibrox under the guidance of head coach Danny Rohl in recent months, with his performances earning plenty of acclaim from supporters after developing into a firm fan favourite.
With six goals and three assists to his name, the Englishman’s all-round game has been most impressive, offering a direct and creative attacking outlet from wide areas, as well as in the No.10 position.
“I think I've improved as the season's gone on and I've got more confident,” Moore admitted in an interview with Sky Sports after being nominated for PFA Scotland’s Young Player of the Year award. “Personally, I've started to show a bit more, and as a team, I think they've helped me, so it's been nice to play.
“Coming up here, I think it's a shock to see what it means to everyone and to see how much pressure there is playing up here. For me, it's been a special experience and I think all the players now for the last four games need to stick together and be one. Hopefully we can go and make it something that will be special to all of us.”

Moore: Joining Rangers can make-or-break a player
After confessing his move north of the border to Glasgow has been a real eye-opener, Moore reckons it’s the type of move that could easily make-or-break a player.
“I think probably half of it is mentality,” Moore commented. “You can have all the ability in the world but if you can't deal with what comes with playing at Ibrox and playing for a club like this, then it's not for you really.
“The mentality side of it is massive and to bounce back from (the result) we've just had yesterday, we need to bounce back from that. This place is massive pressure and it's just somewhere special.”
Rangers can repair damage of Motherwell loss
Rangers suffered a potentially title-defining 3-2 home defeat against Motherwell on Sunday to leave their hopes of silverware hanging by a thread, but the club ended a disappointing day by celebrating the brighter aspects of a rollercoaster season by staging their annual Player of the Year ceremony, where Moore was one of the award winners.
Asked if he views Sunday’s setback as a fatal blow or something that can be repaired, the Londoner admitted: “You've seen how many twists and turns there's been already, there's still room for more. For us, we're just focused on ourselves and trying to win our next four games and put ourselves in the best possible position we can be in.
“I think as every single one of us, me and all the boys, we need to really make the most of that opportunity (against Hearts). It's now, it's do or die for all of us. We need to really stick together and put on a performance, not only for ourselves but for the fans and for the club. For everyone involved, it could really be special.”
Moore has been nominated for the Young Player of the Year award alongside Barney Stewart from Falkirk, Arbroath’s Findlay Marshall, who is on loan from Aberdeen, and Dundee’s Luke Graham.
