Tottenham are showing interest in a summer move for Sunderland full-back Dennis Cirkin, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.
The Europa League winners are reportedly working behind the scenes to bring the 23-year-old left-back back to the club, as they aim to bolster their homegrown quota ahead of the upcoming Champions League campaign.
Cirkin has been identified as a solid back-up option to Destiny Udogie amid his impressive spell at the Stadium of Light, where he played a key role in helping Sunderland secure promotion last season.
Spurs are believed to have held initial talks over a deal for the 'outrageous' defender, who could be allowed to leave Sunderland in the coming months.

According to Bailey, Sunderland are ready to move on from Cirkin this summer and have been focused on signing a replacement recently.
The Black Cats are close to announcing left-back Reinildo’s arrival from Atletico Madrid and are also reportedly in talks for Nice defender Malvin Bard.
Cirkin, meanwhile, joined Sunderland from Spurs in the summer of 2021 after coming through the youth ranks at the North London club.
While he never made a senior appearance before departing, he was a regular for Sunderland across his three seasons at the Stadium of Light, making 116 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.

Tottenham announced the arrivals of Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel on permanent deals last month and continue working on boosting Thomas Frank’s attacking options ahead of next season.
The Lilywhites are believed to be in talks to sign West Ham forward Mohammed Kudus and are plotting a bid worth in the region of £60m for the Ghana international.
