Juventus have rebuffed an enquiry from Tottenham for midfielder Khephren Thuram and consider the Frenchman ‘untouchable’ despite significant Premier League interest, journalist Graeme Bailey has revealed.

The north London side are believed to have made contact regarding the 24-year-old over the course of the last six months but saw their initial attempts to enter discussions for Thuram rebuffed ‘very quickly’.

The Frenchman has been one of Juventus’ standout players since arriving in Turin from French side Nice last summer and has continually been on the radar of several top clubs throughout the year.

While Premier League sides had the chance to sign Thuram before his move to Juventus in 2024, securing the midfielder now appears to be a difficult task, with Juventus having no interest in letting him go amid his ‘spectacular’ first 15 months at the club.

Tottenham Make Khephren Thuram Enquiry

According to Bailey, Juventus consider both Thuram and Kenan Yildiz ‘untouchable’ amid reported interest from Premier League clubs, with transfer chief Damien Comolli a particular admirer of the duo:

“Thuram is one of those players that Premier League clubs had the chance to land before Juve took him from Nice.

“Juve took that chance and have been rewarded, Thuram’s form since arriving in Italy has been spectacular – he was not even in the France squad, let alone pushing for a starting spot, he has really kicked on.

“Now, along with Yildiz, Comolli believes he has something special, and he is getting calls – we know that, but they have no interest in letting either of these two go, they are both deemed as ‘untouchable’ by Juve at this point.”

Thuram, who is under contract in Turin until June 2029, made 51 appearances for Juventus in his first season at the club, scoring five goals and providing eight assists in all competitions.

The midfielder was also named in the 2024/25 Serie A Team of the Season alongside former Premier League stars David de Gea, Scott McTominay and Christian Pulisic.

Tottenham’s summer business saw the Lilywhites spend heavily on reinforcements in attack, with Thomas Frank’s side securing deals for Xavi Simons, Mohammed Kudus, Mathys Tel and Randal Kolo Muani, who joined on loan.
