Tottenham Hotspur have now been linked with a move for the Leicester City midfielder Bilal El Khannouss.
It will be interesting to see if they decide to make a move for the 21-year-old this summer. They have missed out on the Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze, and they need an alternative now. They need someone who can create goal-scoring opportunities in the final third.
James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are sidelined for months, and Son Heung-min has left the club. El Khannouss did reasonably well with the Foxes in the Premier League last season, and he could prove to be a useful acquisition.
The opportunity to return to the Premier League could be exciting for him. Tottenham will be an attractive destination, and it remains to be seen whether they can get the deal done. The player has already agreed personal terms with Crystal Palace, and it will be interesting to see how the situation develops.
Spurs make enquiry for Leicester City star
Graeme Bailey told TBR: “Tottenham have enquired about the situation surrounding Bilal El Khannouss, who Crystal Palace have agreed terms with to replace Eze.
“However, despite El Khanouss agreeing to join Palace, the deal is not done.
“Tottenham are working hard; they already know the market.”
Spurs could use Bilal El Khannouss
Tottenham need a technically gifted midfielder who can operate centrally as well as on the flanks. The 21-year-old certainly fits the profile. He has the technical attributes to play for the biggest clubs in the country, and the move to Tottenham will be a huge opportunity.
Ruud van Nistelrooy has described him as a “skillful and technical” player.
Crystal Palace are a big club as well, but Spurs will be able to offer him Champions League football. Given the fact that the player has already agreed to join the Eagles, it remains to be seen whether he is prepared to change his decision now.
