One Tottenham youngster is attracting plenty of interest from the big clubs around the continent on the back of his breakthrough season in the Premier League, but the Lilywhites do not intend to sell the player this summer.
It has been reported that Thoms Frank is prioritising additions in the middle of the park ahead of his first season at Tottenham.
The Dane is a big fan of some of the young players already at the club, with Frank admitting that he is looking forward to working with the likes of Lucas Bergvall in his first interview with the club’s official channel on Wednesday.
Bergvall swept all of Tottenham’s end-of-season awards in 2024-25, which is a phenomenal achievement in his first taste of Premier League football.
However, worryingly for Spurs, his impressive growth over the last 12 months has allegedly put him on the radar of many top clubs.
Tottenham could receive big offers for Lucas Bergvall this summer
According to a report in Fotboll Direkt, Bergvall is now attracting interest from several big clubs around Europe on the back of his breakthrough year in North London.
The outlet claims that Tottenham Hotspur value the 19-year-old at a minimum of €60m (£51.2m) but that sum is not seen as a problem for many of the midfielder’s suitors.
MORE SPURS STORIES
While the report does not mention which clubs are after Bergvall, it points out that Pep Guardiola showered praise on the youngster publicly.
However, the outlet also mentions the fact that Tottenham only recently tied the Swede to a six-year contract and are thus in a very strong position to retain the player’s services.
Tottenham’s and Lucas Bergvall’s stance on a summer transfer
Football Direkt concludes that Bergvall is unlikely to be on his way out of Hotspur Way this summer as the Lilywhites will not entertain any offers for the midfielder.
The publication adds that the former Djurgardens man is not the least bit interested in entertaining the prospect of a summer departure.
