Tottenham Hotspur are interested in securing the services of the Brentford attacker Yoane Wissa during the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old has been a key player for Brentford, and he could prove to be an excellent addition for Spurs.

Spurs need attacking depth

They need more quality and depth in the attacking unit, and the Brentford star will improve them going forward. He will add some much-needed cutting edge in the final third.

According to journalist Sami Mokbel, the player is open to joining Tottenham and the North London club are now ‘moving’ for him. They have recently secured a breakthrough in their move for Mohammed Kudus. The West Ham United attacker is now expected to join Tottenham in a deal worth around £55 million.

Tottenham need to improve their squad this summer, and signing quality attackers will be a priority. Wissa scored 20 goals last season and picked up five assists.

Wissa has played under Thomas Frank at Brentford, and he should be able to settle in quickly at Tottenham. Frank has previously labelled him as a great player, and the opportunity to reunite would be exciting for both parties.

“Wissa is great, the way he links up and goes forward, and gets in behind the back line for tap-ins,” he said.

Yoane Wissa needs a step up

The 28-year-old striker is at the peak of his powers, and this is the right time for him to join a big club. Tottenham will be able to provide him with Champions League football, and he would get to play alongside quality players at the London club. The move would be ideal for all parties. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can convince Brentford to sell the player.

The Bees are set to lose Bryan Mbeumo as well. They have already lost Thomas Frank this summer.
