Thomas Frank continues to have a huge say in Tottenham’s transfer business.
Spurs have let several players leave on loan in January, while the most high-profile sale was Brennan Johnson’s £35million move to Crystal Palace.
Tottenham’s recruitment hasn’t been good enough, and they’ve blown millions of pounds on players who haven’t made a big impact in recent seasons.
Frank remains under severe pressure, and it’s alarming that he still has full control over the future of Tottenham’s players.
Tottenham receive irresistible offer for Alejo Veliz
Frank clearly feels that several young players must leave Tottenham, and Alejo Veliz’s sale now looks imminent.

Tottenham spent £13m to sign Veliz from Rosario Central in August 2023, with the hope that the striker would develop into a player capable of leading the line for them.
Veliz left Tottenham on loan for a return to Rosario Central in the summer, although that spell could be over very soon.
Argentinian media outlet El Ciudadano has now reported that Brazilian outfit Bahia have made a lucrative offer for the striker, which appears irresistible to Tottenham.
The saga is nearing its end, and this week seems to be decisive, with Spurs set to terminate the remaining six months of the striker’s loan to Rosario Central in order to facilitate a move to Bahia.
Tottenham have already received an offer of £8.6m for Veliz from Brazilian side North Esporte Clube, and there is a lot of competition for the Argentine.
Having been at Spurs for over two years, the move clearly hasn’t worked out, and it’s now just a matter of time before he is let go permanently.
While the final destination isn’t certain, Bahia now appear to be the frontrunners to secure his services, and Spurs will gladly accept their multi-million-pound fee.
Why Tottenham are getting a great deal for Veliz
Spurs fans will look at him as a wonderkid with a lot of failed potential, yet they aren’t set to lose much money on him.
While Bahia’s bid is unclear, it’s definitely over £8.6m, and Spurs will get away with a poor piece of business if they manage to break even.
Veliz has rediscovered his form with Rosario Central, scoring five goals in 16 appearances.
At just 22, he still has a lot of time to reach the highest level, but he clearly isn’t fit to star in the Premier League at this moment.
Spurs have had issues finding a reliable goalscorer, and Veliz is yet another player who has failed to live up to expectations in N17.
Luckily, Tottenham seem to be getting back the majority of the fee they paid for him.
