Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to welcome Oliver Irow back from Mansfield Town.

The 20-year-old completed a temporary move to the One Call Stadium in January and has acted as a regular in the East Midlands.

That ended with the Stags finishing 10th in League One, but with six games unbeaten to see out the campaign.

The winger certainly made a positive impression and can be pleased with what he’s achieved on his first-ever loan move away from N17.

Irow is now set to return to Tottenham ahead of the summer as we assess what we know about his contract situation in North London.

What is Oliver Irow’s contract situation at Tottenham?

The Englishman is highly rated by the Lilywhites, and that is summed up by his being thrown into League One for his first spell away from the capital.

He performed at a positive level as he felt his way into senior football after being a Spurs under-21 regular between 2024 and 2026.

His four goals aren’t to be sniffed at, especially with a limited number of league starts across the second half of the season.

That will make for an interesting atmosphere surrounding his return to Hotspur Way now that his campaign is over with the Stags.

That is especially the case with his contract not set to expire in N17 until the summer of 2028 on a reported weekly wage of £8000.

If that is to be believed, that equates to around £416,000 per year, which is certainly a positive fee for an academy talent.

Irow performed well at Mansfield Town, but there will now be questions about what happens to him ahead of the upcoming season.

Could Irow return to Mansfield Town?

It feels as if another loan deal is likely for the youngster as he isn’t quite ready to make a first-team impact in N17.

Mikey Moore is undoubtedly ahead of him in the pecking order, especially after a stellar campaign with Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

That could leave Irow facing the exit door again, with a move back to Mansfield potentially set to make sense for all parties.

He has already made a positive impression there, so sticking around for a full season could be exactly what he needs to develop.

The Stags would likely want to keep hold of him; otherwise, there are bound to be plenty of suitors in the third tier or even in the Championship.
