Rangers winger Mikey Moore has addressed his future as he prepares to return to parent club Tottenham Hotspur - and new Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi may have a big say on his next steps.

The 18-year old has been a standout at Ibrox this season since signing on loan in the summer and recently secured the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award. Rangers’ trip to Falkirk on Saturday for their season finale will now be Moore’s last in a royal blue jersey.

When Moore left north London in the summer, he’d just won the Europa League under former Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou, as Spurs were looking to kick on after winning their first piece of silverware in 17 years. However, three managers later, he could be returning to a side in the EFL Championship, as Spurs sit two points above the drop zone with just two games to go.

Loanee addresses future amid Ibrox links

Danny Rohl has previously stated that ‘of course’ he’d love to sign Moore on permanent basis, however his hefty price tag will make this a tall order for the Light Blues. Speaking ahead of the Falkirk clash, Moore claims latest Spurs boss De Zerbi will have the final say on where he goes next.

He said: “For me now, it's hard because it's the same as for me last year, a new manager was in at Tottenham and I had to go back in and see what he was saying about me and then see what everyone was doing. To be honest, I think it'll be the same sort of process.

“There's a new manager at Spurs at the minute and obviously I'm a Spurs player so we'll have to see what he says about me, what he wants me to do, what the people around me want me to do. I think that's all I can say at the minute. I'm going to go back there and see what the new people say in the building and from there I'll make a decision.”

Moore reflects on Rangers highlights

The winger scored the third in Rangers’ 3-1 win at Celtic Park in January - a memory he says he’ll never forget. As he now calls time on his short spell at Ibrox, Moore claims that was his highlight. He continued: “Obviously the goal at Celtic Park was my best moment.

“That day I realised what that game meant to people and when I see obviously even after the game we pulled up at Ibrox and there was loads of fans waiting for us celebrating so that was the best moment of my Rangers career and I'll remember that goal really for the rest of my life.

“I'm going to miss the fans first of all. I think I've never felt love like I've felt here. People say stuff to me when I'm just walking about in the city and walking about where I live and it's nice to get that recognition from the people and I think no matter what happens in the summer I'm going to miss that.”
