Here are our Tottenham player ratings after their defeat against Fulham at Craven Cottage in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon

Tottenham fell to a 2-1 defeat at Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon and here are our Spurs player ratings.

With teams around them having lost on Saturday Spurs wanted to grab a point or three at Craven Cottage to try to move away from the drop zone and the threat of relegation. However, this is a fixture that Tottenham have struggled in over the years.

Igor Tudor was missing Djed Spence with a minor calf issue but had a couple of injured players back in contention in Pedro Porro and Kevin Danso with the Spaniard comes back in the starting line-up at right-back while the Austria international was on the bench.

Dominic Solanke was back in the starting line-up at Craven Cottage alongside Randal Kolo Muani, who was one of the few Tottenham players to come out of last weekend's north London derby defeat with any credit.

Harry Wilson opened the scoring for the hosts just seven minutes in after hooking home the ball after Conor Gallagher deflected a cross to him at the back post. Spurs were looking for a foul for a push on Radu Dragusin but VAR decided that unlike Kolo Muani's ruled out derby strike last weekend, this was not a push.

There was no question about Fulham's second goal though after Alex Iwobi hit a side-footed effort from distance in off the bottom of the left-hand post with all the time in the world to hit it.

Fulham had a string of chances to extend their lead but the visitors grabbed a goal back in the 66th minute when substitute Mathys Tel dribbled down the left, played in Archie Gray and the 19-year-old picked out Richarlison to head home.

Spurs huffed and puffed in the final stages but could only muster an effort into the side-netting from substitute Pape Matar Sarr with Fulham keeper Bernd Leno never really tested and Richarlison's goal their only effort on target all game.

Here are our Tottenham player ratings:

Guglielmo Vicario

Couldn't do much about Wilson's close range half-volley but should have done better with Iwobi's straight effort from distance. His kicking was all over the place. Did make a terrific save to deny Smith Rowe which brought him up a point. 5

Pedro Porro

Back in the team and he tried to make things happen down the right. Took plenty of whacks throughout but struggled with his defending. 5

Radu Dragusin

The partnership with Van de Ven just doesn't seem to work. Neither leads the other or know where each other are at any point. 4

Micky van de Ven

All over the place at times as he tried to do too much and left himself out of position. Made a great block to deny Jimenez though. 5

Archie Gray

Shaky and left exposed at times on the left and lost Wilson for the goal and had no help for Iwobi's. However, the 19-year-old's run and left-footed cross for Richarlison's goal was terrific. The teenager tried to drive the team on in the final 20 minutes and has more of a captain's mentality than many of the senior figures in this squad. 6

Conor Gallagher

Unfortunate to deflect the ball to Wilson for the opener but was a square peg trying to fit into a round hole on the right and looked lost. 3

Yves Bissouma

Certainly not one of Spurs' worst players but no real cohesion with Palhinha. 5

Joao Palhinha

Back in the midfield and battled away. The only one who seemed to compete for second balls in the centre of the pitch. 6

Xavi Simons

Made no attempt to come inside to stop Iwobi shooting and he offered very little before being hooked on the hour. 3

Randal Kolo Muani

Had a half chance in the first half but was mostly bullied by Bassey throughout the game. 4

Dominic Solanke

Stopped tracking Iwobi back for the second Fulham goal but looked more likely to make something happen in the opening 45 minutes than others. Faded badly in the second half and was a passenger at times. 4

Subs

Richarlison

Back among the goals after finding space to head home Gray's cross. Gave Bassey a proper battle. 7

Pape Matar Sarr

Hit an effort into the side-netting before normal time was up and at least ran in the direction of the opposition goal. 6

Mathys Tel

Brought some positive forward momentum to the left flank and was heavily involved in Richarlison's goal. Sent Souza away in the 88th minute for a chance. 7

Souza

Got into the Fulham box but scuffed his low cross. Tried to be take the team forward with Tel down the left in the final 10 minutes. N/A

Kevin Danso

Brought on pretty much to take long throws. N/A
