Tottenham have notched another three points in a 3-0 win over West Ham in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s game against West Ham was expected to produce fireworks with Mohammed Kudus returning to the London Stadium since signing for Spurs.
Kudus would’ve wanted to impress Tottenham and Thomas Frank against the Hammers. But a goal was not meant to be.
However, with goals from Lucas Bergvall, Pape Matar Sarr and Micky van den Ven, Tottenham’s Premier League hopes have edged that bit closer.
Lucas Bergvall outstanding against West Ham
Bergvall’s commitment during Tottenham training earned high praise, and it has shown on the pitch once again.
MORE SPURS STORIES
Bergvall started for Spurs for the first time since Tottenham’s opening win over Burnley at the beginning of the season.
He was sensational from beginning to end, scoring a goal and notching an assist.
According to Sofascore, Bergvall attempted one shot and scored his only goal of the game. Meanwhile, he completed 88 per cent of his passes and had 100 per cent accuracy on his long balls.
He needed to prove himself after spending the last two matchdays coming from the bench, and Bergvall has done so in abundance.
Mathys Tel underwhelms against West Ham
Mathys Tel was given his first start for Tottenham since Frank ommitted him from his UEFA Champions League phase squad.
The attempted one shot before he was substituted for Wilson Odobert deep into the second half.
Other than that, the Frenchman was anonymous for the majority of the game, failing to notch a goal contribution.
After having a difficult couple of weeks in North London, this was his chance to prove to Frank that he was worthy of a starting spot. But given his performance against the Hammers, it would not be surprising to see him starting from the bench next game.
