With the Brazilian set to stay, a space opens up for another departure. And it seems like he’s someone Jose Mourinho had one or two good things to say about.

Tottenham set to loan out Dane Scarlett next
Daniel Levy has prepared multiple season-long loans for Tottenham’s academy products these past couple of weeks.
George Abbott joined Leyton Orient, while winger Yang Min-Hyeok was sent to Portsmouth after a successful loan spell at QPR the season before.
Dane Scarlett has blossomed at Spurs. Mourinho was a big fan of the youngster when he was head coach.
Speaking via the Daily Mail in February 2021, Mourinho said: “He is a diamond, a kid with incredible potential. He has worked many times with the first team and that gives him a different personality.
“He is still 16, 17 soon, and I believe next season he will be a first-team squad player because he has a lot of talent.”
Since he has struggled to breakthrough at Tottenham:
But his fate could be about to change. Frank named him as part of the Tottenham squad, who were defeated by PSG in the UEFA Super Cup final. While he did not see the pitch, this indicates that the Dane sees him in his long-term plans.
As a result, Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes he will be loaned out to continue his development.
“We’ve loaned out 11 players, and Scarlett is the one who still hasn’t gone yet, who people would expect to go,” Wenham said.
“I expect there’ll be some movement on that shortly as well.”
Where could Scarlett be sent on loan?
There are several destinations that Scarlett could arrive at before 1 September.
The centre-forward returned from a loan at Oxford earlier this summer. While he did not see the pitch as much as he would have liked, the minutes he did have were valuable.
As a result, another Championship loan would make sense. West Brom seems the likely option given former Spurs assistant coach Ryan Mason’s position as manager.
However, if Scarlett is destined to become a key player for Frank, a Premier League loan could be on the cards. Leeds United seems like a viable option given the success of Manor Solomon last season.
With several options on the table, the youngster could be spoilt for choice this summer.
