Igor Tudor is eyeing his first Tottenham Hotspur win on Thursday evening as Crystal Palace head to north London.

The Croatian has tasted back-to-back defeats since he landed in Tottenham, with the fear of relegation only growing.

For the loss against Fulham, Tudor made a number of changes to the starting XI, but there was very little improvement from the North London Derby defeat.

Who is your dream appointment for the next permanent Spurs manager? 🫣

Heading into the game against Palace on Thursday, the Lilywhites will require a big improvement to get something from Oliver Glasner’s side.

Richarlison has to start for Tottenham against Crystal Palace

Richarlison scored again at the weekend after extending his lead as Tottenham’s top scorer this season with eight goals.

After the game, Marco Silva was seen in discussion with Richarlison, who has returned from injury with the task of saving Spurs from the drop.

Who would be your preferred starting striker at Tottenham? 🫣

Dominic Solanke is failing to live up to his ÂŁ60m price tag, with Richarlison looking like one of the few players actually up for the fight to save the club from the drop.

It is not a time where Spurs can worry about how players will feel over being left out of the side; Tudor needs the players who are showing some mettle about them.

Mathys Tel showed he’s got more to offer Tottenham

Having come on with just over 30 minutes remaining at Craven Cottage, Mathys Tel provided one key pass and completed two dribbles.

Just to put that into context, Tel managed the same number of successful dribbles (2) as every other Spurs player combined against Fulham.

Tel has been left frustrated at Tottenham due to the lack of minutes he has been provided under Thomas Frank, and this is carrying over into Tudor’s reign.

With just six Premier League starts to his name this season, Tel is a player who looks hungry to prove himself after a turbulent season in north London.

Igor Tudor must put players in natural positions

There is no doubting that injuries have decimated the Tottenham squad this season.

However, having signed Souza in January, there is no reason to be playing Archie Gray in a left-wing-back role.

Speaking ahead of the game, Tudor revealed neither Destiny Udogie or Djed Spence would return for the game on Thursday.

“Djed Spence is out. Kevin came back in the last game. [Udogie and Kulusevski?] No other news,” said the interim boss.

Tottenham need to get back to basics and putting players in their natural positions has to be the starting point for Tudor, but he has shown that is not typically his style in the opening two games.
