Son Heung-min’s departure from Tottenham continues to grow closer with each passing day.
The Tottenham captain has been a staple at Hotspur Way for over a decade, but is now set to bid his final farewell.
His lethal eye for goal and trickery on the wing has brought Spurs supporters a lot of joy over the years. However, age catches up with everyone, and it seems to have sunk its claws into the 33-year-old.
As a result, an emotional exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium seems to be on the cards for Son this summer.

As reported by GiveMeSport on Monday (28 July), LAFC are now advancing in talks to sign Son, who still has a year left on his contract.
It is understood that Spurs are content to keep Son and permit him to leave on a free transfer, but will not act as an obstacle should the South Korean decide he is ready for a new adventure.
Once the winger returns to London after Spurs’ tour of South Korea and Hong Kong, talks will take place with Thomas Frank over his role and allotted game time next season.
Son could accept a peripheral role at Tottenham
While a departure looks to be the likelier option, Son could accept a peripheral role at Tottenham if given the chance.
This could see him demoted from the starting lineup in favour of coming off the bench to impact games when the team needs an attacking boost.
There is every chance that he could suit this role well. At 33 years of age, it is evident that Son’s body no longer has the energy to keep up with his mind. However, playing against tired legs for the final fifteen minutes of the game could be perfect for him physically.
This would give him a greater chance of making an impact while giving some of the younger, hungrier players the opportunity to develop and shine for the club.
Therefore, Son assuming a peripheral role at the North London club could be best for all involved.
