Tottenham Hotspur are now looking to sign one of Crystal Palace’s top targets after Eberechi Eze decided to join Arsenal over the Lilywhites.
Spurs fans who did not check the news last evening were in for a rude awakening when they woke up this morning.
The Eze deal, which appeared to be in the bag for Tottenham, collapsed spectacularly on Wednesday evening, courtesy of their North London rivals.
Arsenal have now successfully managed to hijack the Eze deal, with the 27-year-old having chosen to join the Gunners over the Lilywhites.

It has now been revealed by TBR Football that after being snubbed by Eze, Tottenham launched an enquiry for Leicester City’s Bilal El Khannouss.
The Moroccan international was one of the lone shining lights in what was a terrible season back in the Premier League for the Foxes last term.
The report says that Spurs were monitoring El Khannouss at the start of the summer window before shifting their focus to Eze, and they are now back in for the 21-year-old.

Interestingly, it had been widely reported over the last few days that El Khannouss is Palace’s top target to replace Eze, but it now appears that the Eagles may be under threat of having their move hijacked by the Lilywhites.
Greame Bailey says Spurs are ‘working hard’ after Eberechi Eze snub
Transfer market expert Greame Bailey confirmed that apart from El Khannouss, Thomas Frank’s men are continuing to eye Savinho, although they are not getting encouragement from Man City.
Additionally, the journalist adds that Southampton’s Tyler Dibling and Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott remain on Tottenham’s wishlist.
Bailey told TBR: “Tottenham have enquired about the situation surrounding Bilal El Khannouss, who Crystal Palace have agreed terms with to replace Eze.
“However, despite El Khanouss agreeing to join Palace, the deal is not done. I have also been told that Spurs have again asked about Savinho, but they have received no encouragement from City.
“Tyler Dibling is another player on Tottenham’s radar, and Spurs have maintained an interest in him too. Liverpool’s Harvey Elliott is another one they admire. Tottenham are working hard; they already know the market.”
