Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a surprise move for the West Ham United attacker Mohammed Kudus during the summer transfer window.

According to a report from The Guardian, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is willing to submit an offer of around £50 million for the player. The Ghanaian International has an €85 million release clause in his contract, and it will be interesting to see if West Ham are prepared to sanction his departure for a knockdown fee.

Can Tottenham get the deal done?

Tottenham have not done business with West Ham since 2011, and the report claims that Levy does not get on well with the club’s owners. It remains to be seen whether he can get a deal done for the 24-year-old.

There is no doubt that he is a quality player, and he has shown his ability in the Premier League. Kudus is capable of operating anywhere across the front three, and he will add creativity and goals to the side.

Tottenham looked mediocre going forward last season, and they need someone with his skill set. Other Premier League clubs are keeping tabs on him as well.

Mohammed Kudus could fancy a Spurs move

The opportunity to join a big club like Tottenham will be exciting for him. He will want to compete at a high level, and Tottenham will be able to provide him with Champions League football as well. He will look to take the next step in his career, and Tottenham could be the ideal destination.

It will be interesting to see if the two rival clubs can work out a deal that benefits them both.
