Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Como midfielder Nico Paz during the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has done quite well for the Italian club, and his performances have attracted the attention of the Premier League side. According to journalist Diego Pico on MARCA, Tottenham are preparing an offer to sign him. It remains to be seen whether they can convince the Italian outfit to sell the player.
Paz is an elite prospect
The former Real Madrid youngster is highly rated across Europe, and Toni Kroos has previously labelled him as an “exceptional” player.
Kroos said: “This lad (Nico Paz) should be training with us every day because he’s exceptional”.
There is no doubt that he has the quality to do well in the Premier League, and he could prove to be a future investment for Tottenham. They need more creativity and control in the midfield, and the 20-year-old could be the ideal fit for them.
Nico Paz could fancy a Spurs move
The opportunity to move to the Premier League could be exciting for the young midfielder. It would be a major step up in his career, and he would get the opportunity to showcase his qualities at a high level. Spurs will be able to offer him Champions League football as well. He is a phenomenal young player with a bright future, and he could develop into a future star for the north London club.
Como will not want to lose a player of his quality easily, and they could demand a premium for him. Spurs certainly have the finances to pay up. They have recently missed out on Eberechi Eze, who would have cost over £60 million. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to splash that kind of money on the youngster.
