Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Sunderland defender Dennis Cirkin.

The 23-year-old has done quite well for the championship outfit, and Tottenham want to bring him back to the club. The former Tottenham Academy graduate has established himself as a key player for the Black Cats. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can get the deal done.

According to journalist Sebastien Vidal, Tottenham are preparing an official offer to sign the player. He is versatile enough to operate as the left back as well as a left-sided wing back. Tottenham will do well to secure his signature. He will add depth and quality to the squad.

Can Spurs get the deal done?

He has shown his ability in the second division of English football, and he will look to test himself at a higher level. Sunderland have secured promotion to the Premier League, and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to let a key player move on.

Destiny Udogie was quite inconsistent last season, and Tottenham need more competition for places. Signing another left-back would be a wise decision. The two players could compete for the starting spot next season.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops.

Dennis Cirkin could be tempted

The 23-year-old will certainly want to take the next step in his career and join a big club. Tottenham will be able to provide him with the platform to showcase his qualities in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League next season.

The opportunity to return to his former club will be quite exciting for the defender. He has previously failed to establish himself as an important player for the club, and he will look to prove his worth this time around.

Cirkin is not the only player linked with a return to Tottenham this summer. Kyle Walker-Peters is on their radar as well.
