The Tottenham Hotspur head coach is speaking to the media on Monday ahead of the Carabao Cup third round match against Liverpool
Roberto De Zerbi is holding his press conference on Monday afternoon ahead of Tottenham's trip to Liverpool for their Carabao Cup clash.
All the focus is on Spurs ' lack of goals in the Premier League right now but they will take a brief break from top flight action for a tough test in third round of the cup at Anfield. Both teams are expected to heavily rotate their starting line-ups, having each played out frustrating goalless draws on Saturday, Tottenham with Everton and Liverpool with Fulham.
De Zerbi will deliver the latest injury news on Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie, who missed the weekend's game, as well as whether James Maddison is fit enough to start in the cup match, which would be his first competitive domestic start since coming off at half-time at Anfield in April last year.
The Tottenham boss will also be asked about Richarlison. football.london reported at the weekend that although the rules appear to suggest otherwise and that a player must come from within the Premier League squad, Spurs are understood to have had it confirmed with the EFL that the Brazilian would be eligible to play in the Carabao Cup if De Zerbi wanted to use him.

Being careful with Maddison
Yes, he's another important player for us. He has to stay in good physical condition. From the last press conference we spoke about the change, the intensity of the Premier League and he needs to work harder like he's done. And then he's a different player for us. The quality of James is different than other players. Kudus can play number 10, more offensive. Marmoush can play as a number 10. Maybe we have to force it, no? But to force the idea, to force the characteristics of the players in the first 11.
On his attackers
Solanke is a good player. He needs to improve his physical condition and stay positive because he can score many goals with us. Marmoush and Savio were not the protagonist but that is different here.

I said last press conference. I know what happened in the last 45 days. It's not right if I explained. It's not my behaviour, the relationship. The problem is between the player and the club. I stay within the club. It's coach and club together. At the start of this season I spoke to him many times to convince him to stay and he didn't want to. I can't go every day to pray for him to stay.
