Yoane Wissa could be set to follow Thomas Frank to Tottenham this summer.

The DR Congo international has been superb ever since signing for Brentford after their promotion to the Premier League in 2021.

This has seen the 28-year-old form a superb forward line at the Gtech Community Stadium, alongside the Spurs-linked Bryan Mbeumo.

As links to the Cameroonian continue to simmer under the surface, the Lilywhites could now step up a move for Wissa after an agreement was reached in N17.

Wissa could now join Tottenham from Brentford

There is no doubt that there is a need for a fresh approach at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Ange Postecoglou was sacked at the end of the campaign.

MORE SPURS STORIES

With that being said, bringing in new options to suit the new management regime feels like a wise option moving deeper into the summer.

After Spurs agreed a £10million compensation fee with Brentford for Frank, it always felt as if their stars will become targets in North London.

This has seen many players from the Bees linked with a move across the capital, with Mikkel Damsgaard also emerging as a target.

Now, Wissa has become the latest name to emerge as a target for the Lilywhites after another superb campaign in red and white stripes.

Tottenham have now emerged as the second favourites to sign the forward at 4/1 behind Nottingham Forest, who come in at odds of 5/2 [Ladbrokes, 17 June].

Frank could bring Brentford stars to Tottenham

There is a number of excellent players already available in N17 who are likely to fit in perfectly under the management of the Dane.

One of those is certainly Archie Gray, after attempting to sign him at Brentford before the Englishman joined the Lilywhites from Leeds United.

Frank could add to that with a cohort of players from the Bees to help add a positive attitude around Hotspur Way next season.
