Tottenham Hotspur could look to oust their Premier League rivals in the race to sign Bologna defender Jhon Lucumi, according to reports - with Daniel Levy keen to add a steeliness to his defence that has been missing for almost the entirety of the domestic campaign.
Should Lucumi make his way to north London, he'd be moving having appeared in almost 100 Serie A games for Bologna, alongside appearing in seven Champions League games this season and scoring his first goal in the competition, coming against Lille back in late November - and that experience will be beneficial for Tottenham.

The report by TBR Football has stated that Tottenham have taken an 'active interest' in Bologna star Lucumi - with the Colombian stopper having been 'outstanding' for the Serie A club so far in his time in Emilia-Romagna.
Lucumi's performances have seen him become a target for major European clubs over the past two seasons, and he now looks set to make the move across the continent in the summer months after being called 'ridiculously impressive' last season.
The 25-year-old only has one year left on his current deal in Italy, and so a summer move looks to be on the cards, with Bologna not wanting to lose their centre-back star for nothing in 2026, especially if he has a strong World Cup with Colombia, which they will feature in should they pick up two more wins in the qualification process.
Having fielded interest from fellow Italian clubs Inter Milan and Juventus, it's now seen Premier League clubs take an interest in the 'phenomenon's services, with Tottenham among the English sides to have sent scouts to watch the Cali-born star. Intermediaries of the player are talking to a number of clubs ahead of a potential move, and have informed them of the player's situation.
