Son Heung-min could leave Tottenham this summer.

The South Korea international has been in North London for almost a decade and finally won silverware with the Europa League win.

However, that may prove to be a swansong for the 32-year-old as he may be set for a departure, with a 50/50 chance that he leaves Tottenham at the moment.

He is contractually obligated to play in a friendly match in his home country against Newcastle on 3 August and Tottenham may have to pay a fine if he does not participate.

Tottenham seeking £100m for Son exit

Former Tottenham scout Bryan King thinks that Spurs would demand £100million if any club makes a bid for the captain.

Iconic commentator Ian Darke believes that Spurs will only get that sort of money from Saudi clubs, if they are to sell their skipper.

Speaking exclusively to Tottenham News, he said: “Only to Saudi Arabia, the thing with Son is there is an awful lot of marketing money to be made with him, for any club that gets him because of his profile in South Korea, which is something you wouldn’t believe actually.

“He is such a major name, but you know, for purely on the pitch, he has probably gone through his best years.

“His best years were when he was firing the bullets, forming a great chemistry with Harry Kane for many a year for Tottenham.

“He has been a fantastic servant, but £100million, would be a very big investment unless he went somewhere where they thought they could make a mint on the marketing side with him.”

Tottenham must accept £100m for Son

Obviously, there is a lot of sentiment attached when it comes to the South Korean star in North London.

However, Levy simply cannot turn down an offer of that magnitude if it comes about, it would be too good to turn down.

Spurs already have Champions League football next season to attract their targets but a huge windfall like that could help them sign one or two more star players, and further enhance the N17 outfit.
