Daniel Levy could still look to bring Bryan Mbeumo to Tottenham this summer.
Levy has always been meticulous about money and sought ways to boost cash flow.
However, it is believed that Tottenham are in a dangerous financial situation, as the North London side scramble to get things back on track. This has cast a dampener on Spurs’ transfer business this summer, with the Lilywhites making a slow start in the window.
Despite this, Levy may have figured out a solution to finance the arrival of Mbeumo for Thomas Frank.
Tottenham to sell Manor Solomon and Bryan Gil to sign Mbeumo
Manor Solomon played a huge part in Leeds’ title-winning season while on loan in the Championship.

As a result, the Whites were keen on signing the forward permanently, but rumours fizzled out when it emerged that Thomas Frank wants to integrate Solomon into his pre-season squad. However, the 25-year-old could still be sold if he fails to impress the Dane.
Meanwhile, Bryan Gil has failed to make an impact at Spurs since he signed in 2021. The forward is expected to leave this summer, with Sevilla one of the clubs prepared to make an offer [OB].
It has been suggested that Manchester United could move on from Mbeumo, which would open the door again for Tottenham, and Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes the potential sales of Solomon and Gil could finance a move.
“I think that Tottenham could revisit a deal for Mbeumo later in the window,” Wenham said.
“Especially when you consider the sales that Tottenham are still likely to make. I think Solomon still departs, and I think Gil will be sold too.
“Therefore, there are options there, and they could use those funds to revisit Mbeumo.”
Tottenham must close the Mbeumo deal soon
If Tottenham are serious about signing Mbeumo this summer, the Lilywhites cannot wait until later in the transfer window.
With UEFA Champions League football on the horizon, Spurs cannot afford to miss out on key signings. Too much focus on Mbeumo could result in less focus elsewhere.
Therefore, with the right winger keen on joining Manchester United, the Lilywhites might be better off taking a backseat for now.
