Tottenham are reportedly keen on securing the services of Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi this summer.
Injury expert Dr Rajpal Brar has assessed the recent hernia issues of the 25-year-old as he may require surgery.
The Italy international even missed all the games of the recently concluded FIFA Club World Cup.
Frattesi may miss few games next season
The 25-year-old is at risk of missing a few games at the start of next season if he does not recover in time from the surgery, according to Dr Brar.

Discussing the state of play with Frattesi exclusively with Tottenham News, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, shared his verdict.
“Spurs may take a closer look at his history of abdominal/hernia issues to assess the risk of recurrence and determine if there are any outlier or high-risk issues,” he said.
“He also has undergone surgery, so they will need to assess his situation even further.
“This may see clubs avoiding making a move for him as he could miss a few games at the start of next season if he does face complications post surgery.”
Tottenham must still look to sign Frattesi
Frattesi would be an excellent signing for Tottenham due to his physicality and proven quality in Serie A.
The 25-year-old midfielder excels as a box-to-box player, offering defensive tenacity, creative passing and goal-scoring ability.
His recent groin surgery, which sidelined him for key matches, may lower his transfer fee as clubs could question his immediate fitness.
Spurs can capitalise on this by negotiating a reduced fee, citing recovery uncertainties, while securing a high-potential player to bolster their midfield depth and push for Champions League qualification under Thomas Frank.
