Tottenham are expected to come out on top against Liverpool as they prepare to welcome Fabian Otte to Hotspur Way.

Daniel Levy recently confirmed his desire to win the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. This has led to a huge summer shake-up with arrivals and departures occurring weekly.

Indeed, there seems to be a real shift in North London with Tottenham CEO Vinai Venkatesham naming football, fans and staff as his key priorities.

It is clear that winning on and off the pitch is the main objective at Spurs, and they have identified Otte as one person capable of making that dream a reality.

Tottenham to appoint Otte as new goalkeeper coach

After just one year as Liverpool’s head of first-team goalkeeper coaching, Tottenham are set to bring Otte to North London.

MORE SPURS STORIES

As reported by the Lilywhite Rose on Saturday (5 July) via Instagram, Otte will be Spurs’ new goalkeeper coach.

It is understood that the 34-year-old is regarded highly in the game and only left Liverpool at the end of June. This is seen as a major coup by the North London club.

Levy will be hoping that Otte will help improve their defensive record in the Premier League next season. The Lilywhites conceded the fifth-most goals in the league in 2024/25, while Guglielmo Vicario kept three fewer clean sheets.

Tottenham must make some senior signings

While Tottenham have made several changes to their senior hierarchy, fans are becoming restless at the lack of senior signings.

Indeed, the North London club are believed to be interested in bringing several players to Hotspur Way this summer. However, other than Kōta Takai, who has been widely reported to be joining Spurs, the club has not advanced much in the summer window.

That is not to say that Tottenham have not been active. The Lilywhites have welcomed multiple youth players to their academy as they continue their plans to improve their young core.

Despite this, Spurs will need to strike a balance between youth and experience if they want to go far in the Champions League next season.

Therefore, Levy will need to invest in some senior signings this summer to compete for all trophies.
