Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing the Rennes striker Arnaud Kalimuendo during the summer transfer window.
According to a report from French publication L’Equipe, Tottenham will accelerate talks with the management of the French club for the 23-year-old striker. He has had an impressive season with Rennes, and he managed to score 18 goals in all competitions.
Kalimuendo could be a future star
There is no doubt that he is a promising young talent with a bright future, and he could transform Tottenham in the attack. The player will add goals and creativity in the final third. Apart from his ability to find the back of the net, he is excellent when it comes to taking on defenders with his pace and trickery.
The young attacker has revealed that he has a fearless attitude, and he fancies his chances of holding onto a starting spot on the side, despite more experienced players competing with him. His attitude could prove to be a huge bonus for Tottenham.
He has been described as a “weapon” in the past by Bruno Genesio.
The 23-year-old is highly rated, and he has a big future. Tottenham would do well to secure his signature. If they can secure an agreement with Rennes this summer over a reasonable fee, the transfer could look like a masterstroke.

Arnaud Kalimuendo could fancy a Premier League move
Meanwhile, the opportunity to play in the Premier League will be quite exciting for the youngster. He would get to compete against world-class players in England, and Tottenham would be able to provide him with Champions League football as well.
They need more goals in the attack, and Kalimuendo could compete with Dominic Solanke for the starting spot. Regular football in the Premier League could accelerate his development and help him improve further.
It remains to be seen whether Rennes are prepared to lose a prized young prospect like him.
