Alasdair Gold has revealed when Tottenham Hotspur are going to announce their next manager after parting ways with Igor Tudor.

Tudor signed a five-month contract with Spurs after replacing Thomas Frank at the helm last month, but the Croat only ended up lasting five Premier League games.

Spurs managed to pick up just a point across those five matches, leaving the Lilywhites just a point above 18th-placed West Ham with seven league games remaining.

The North Londoners are now all set to have another throw of the dice again in an attempt to secure their Premier League status.

When Tottenham will announce Igor Tudor’s replacement

Tottenham confirmed this afternoon that Tudor had departed the club, with the announcement having felt inevitable ever since the club’s 3-0 loss to Nottingham Forest.

The international break now affords the club some time to bring the right placement through the door, and Alasdair Gold has now revealed that a new appointment is not far off.

The journalist claims that Tottenham hope to have a new head coach in place within the next couple of days, by the time the players start returning from international duty.

The club want the newcomer to have 10 days to work together with the players before the Lilywhites travel to the Stadium of Light on April 12.

Spurs leadership will be scrutinised after failed Tudor experiment

Tudor’s appointment was questioned by many last month, and the critics of the decision have been proven right, with the 47-year-old failing to galvanise the squad.

Vinai Venkatesham and Johan Lange’s decision-making will be under serious scrutiny, and all eyes will be on who they next, with the club’s long-term future now on the line.

The pair are about to make what is arguably the most consequential decision in Tottenham’s recent history as the club try to avoid being relegated for the first time in nearly half a century.
