Tottenham Hotspur defender Micky van de Ven is devising a private plan to get out of the club this summer as details emerge about a potential exit, according to FourFourTwo.

Tottenham's Premier League survival hopes took a huge dent at the weekend as Brighton's last-gasp equaliser saw them steal three points away from Roberto De Zerbi's men, who were forced to settle for one in the 2-2 draw.

Fortunately for Spurs, 17th-placed West Ham United failed to increase their advantage above the drop zone as they were involved in a goalless game with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Monday night.

De Zerbi's side remain two points from safety with five games to go, with Nottingham Forest a further five points ahead after their 4-1 thrashing of Burnley on Sunday.

The north London outfit now have a simply must-win game against already-relegated Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on Saturday, in a game where they have to deliver three points in the Premier League for the first time in 2026.

If Spurs are unable to win, it would surely leave them on the brink of playing Championship football next term.

Whichever division they find themselves in next season, it seems like Van de Ven is determined to seal an exit.

Van de Ven Preparing to Leave Tottenham

According to FourFourTwo, Van de Ven is laying the groundwork behind the scenes for a summer exit out of Tottenham following their disastrous season.

Spurs are still battling for survival, but it seems as though the Dutchman has decided to leave whatever the outcome of this season is, despite the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi.

FFT claim that the 25-year-old has already privately started tidying up his off-field affairs in London, which signals that his future lies away from the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

The developments in his private life suggest that, despite his current commitment to the cause to keep the club in the top flight, he wants out at the end of the season.

He could be joined through the exit door by captain Cristian Romero, who may have played his last game for the club given he has been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign through injury.

Van de Ven Could Leave on Loan

Tottenham need the Dutchman more than ever in the final five games with Romero missing, and he needs to show why GIVEMESPORT sources revealed earlier this year that they rated Van de Ven at a potential English club-record fee.

The report from FourFourTwo claims that given the centre-back's contract runs until 2029, and with Tottenham's potential high demands, the player could be forced to leave on loan should the worst happen and they do go down.

A deal like that would allow Spurs to offload his wages in the Championship, but also potentially obtain a higher fee for him a year down the line - should they secure an immediate promotion - rather than trying to sell him as a second-tier club.
