Tottenham could be set to lose one of their key players in the summer transfer window.

After Tottenham’s 2-0 defeat to Man United, which marked a seventh straight league game without a win, the mood is even worse than it has been all season in North London.

Thomas Frank remains under intense pressure, while several players are also arguably playing for their future after what has been another dreadful domestic campaign.

However, that may not be the case with one star, with reports abroad stating that he has already set his sights on a move back to his home country.

Richarlison lined up for summer transfer

Richarlison had been heavily linked with a move back to Everton in the summer, but the Brazilian remained at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where he has since played a crucial role in an otherwise awful campaign.

MORE SPURS STORIES

In 13 Premier League starts for the Lilywhites, Richarlison has seven goals, which has him as their leading scorer across all competitions.

But now, a report from Fichajes states that “the South American transfer market is about to witness a seismic shift,” with Flamengo planning a summer move for the striker.

The Brazilian outfit have already prized Lucas Paqueta away from West Ham in the winter window, and they plan to do the same with Richarlison.

It’s claimed that the 28-year-old has set his sights on a fresh start away from Spurs, and having started his career in Brazil, he would almost certainly welcome a move back.

Richarlison won’t be the only player to leave Tottenham in the summer

Tottenham are the definition of a sinking ship, and the longer that status holds, the more likely it is that several players look to escape while they can.

Unless Spurs are to win the Champions League, which would be a miracle at this point, there will be no European football to entice players not only to stay, but come whatsover.

Richarlison’s exit could easily start a mass exodus in North London, and with Micky van de Ven already linked with a move away from Tottenham, several others will almost certainly join.

It goes without saying, but it is very worrying times for Tottenham right now.
