Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Nico Paz from Italian club Como this summer.
They have already had an offer turned down for the 20-year-old playmaker, and Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has now revealed that Spurs have returned with an improved offer. They have submitted an offer of around €50 million to get the deal done.
The journalist has revealed that the Premier League side ‘continue talks’ to sign the player, and the midfielder is a ‘top target’ for them. He is valued at €70 million, and it will be interesting to see if they can convince Como to accept a more reasonable deal.
Nico Paz would be a superb addition
The 20-year-old is a sensational talent with a bright future, and he could develop into a top-class player with the right guidance. Tottenham need more creativity and control in the final third, and the South American would be a long-term investment. He is highly rated across Europe, and he has all the tools to develop into a Premier League star.
Spurs move could be ideal for all parties
The move to the Premier League could be an interesting opportunity for him at this stage of his career. Regular football in England could bring out the best in him and help him improve further. He has the technical attributes to do well in English football, and he will look to make an instant impact if the transfer goes through.
Even if Tottenham need to pay a premium for him now, the deal could be worth it in the long run. He has all the attributes to develop into a world-class player with the right guidance.
James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are currently sidelined with injury problems, and Tottenham need more depth in that area of the pitch. The talented young midfielder could fill the void left by the two Tottenham players.
