Another key Tottenham Hotspur player was forced off with an injury while on international duty on Saturday, providing Thomas Frank with yet another headache ahead of the North London derby.

There appears to be no light at the end of the tunnel for Spurs on the injury front, with Tottenham continuing to have double-digit injury absentees.

Earlier this week, it emerged that Lucas Bergvall had withdrawn from the Sweden squad after failing to pass a fitness test following the concussion he suffered against Chelsea two weeks ago.

Now, yet another Spurs midfielder has had an injury scare, just a week ahead of Tottenham’s trip to the Emirates.

Tottenham midfielder Pape Sarr is forced off with an injury

Pape Sarr started for Senegal in their friendly against Brazil, which was ironically played at the Emirates Stadium.

The Selecao emerged 2-0 winners, but worryingly for Spurs, Sarr was forced off at the start of the second half with a knock, according to The Mirror.

The outlet says the nature of the 23-year-old’s injury is unknown at the moment, but it will leave Tottenham fans extremely nervous, given that it has come just a week before the big derby.
