Daniel Levy will once again have to face the wrath of Tottenham supporters as Barcelona close in on a new transfer agreement.
Tottenham have fallen behind in the summer transfer window after taking several weeks to decide Ange Postecoglou’s future.
This saw Manchester United move ahead in the race for Bryan Mbeumo. Meanwhile, Angel Gomes and Johnny Cardoso have both snubbed moves to North London.
And Levy will need to brace himself for another blow as Barcelona close in on a transfer agreement.
Barcelona close in on Roony Bardghji
Tottenham have long been linked with a move for FC Copenhagen sensation Roony Bardghji.
MORE SPURS STORIES
With the teenager’s contract with Copenhagen set to expire at the start of 2026, Tottenham would have been able to negotiate a free transfer from 1 July. However, Barcelona have now made their move.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano via X on Monday (23 June), Barcelona are closing in on a deal to sign Bardghji this summer. The agreement is at the final stages, and the Swedish winger could join Barcelona from July.
The Lilywhites have made the development of young players a key strategy in recent months, and Bardghji would have been an exciting addition in North London.
As a result, fans are not best pleased, and have taken to social media to express their frustration.
Tottenham will need to confirm a forward signing soon
Spurs supporters are becoming restless at the slow movements in the summer transfer window thus far.
It was believed that Tottenham would accelerate their business once Thomas Frank was appointed. However, the Lilywhites have yet to enter the final negotiation stages for potential transfer signings.
That is not to say that the North London club have not been linked to players. Jarrad Branthwaite is just one player that Spurs are hoping to sign this summer.
But similar to all other interests, his signing is not yet advanced. As a result, fans’ patience is beginning to fade, and there could be further unrest in the coming weeks.
