Tottenham are showing keen interest in a summer move for promising Copenhagen winger Roony Bardghji, journalist Graeme Bailey has claimed.
The Europa League winners have reportedly held talks with the Swedish starlet over his potential arrival in North London, and are among a host of European and Premier League clubs keen on securing his signature.
Bardghji is also a player of interest to RB Leipzig, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille, Porto and Benfica, while English sides Aston Villa, Man United and Newcastle have also made contact.
The 19-year-old forward is expected to depart Denmark this summer, with just over six months left on his contract, which runs out in December.
Tottenham Keen on Roony Bardghji
Held talks with the 19-year-old winger
According to Bailey, Tottenham are among the European clubs actively working on a deal for Bardghji and have long admired the promising winger, dubbed ‘one of the best talents in Europe’.
Spurs have reportedly tracked the 19-year-old since at least 2023 and are now eyeing a bargain deal, considering his contract expires in just over six months.
Bardghji suffered an ACL injury in April 2024, which sidelined him for nearly 12 months, before making his return in March and registering six appearances this season.
The Sweden U21 international already has experience scoring against a Premier League club, having netted a dramatic late winner in Copenhagen’s 4-3 Europa League victory over Man United in 2023.
GIVEMESPORT Key Statistic: Bardghji has scored 15 goals in 84 senior appearances for Copenhagen.
Tottenham appointed Thomas Frank as their new head coach last week and will now shift focus to bolstering the Danish tactician’s squad ahead of the new season.
The Lilywhites are set to make Mathys Tel their first summer signing, having reached an agreement over a €35m (£30m) fee with Bayern Munich for his permanent arrival.
