Tottenham Hotspur are in ongoing talks over a move to sign Brentford star Kevin Schade this summer in a deal worth £60m, according to BILD.

The north London club have had a season to forget so far, and currently sit just one point above the relegation zone with nine games remaining in the Premier League, while they are also set to face off against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16, and have already been eliminated from both domestic cup competitions.

But despite those concerns, the club are understood to already be making plans for the summer transfer window, and they are still looking to do a deal for one player despite former manager Thomas Frank no longer being around.

Tottenham In Talks for Schade

Schade, who has been clocked as one of the fastest players in the Premier League this season, has stepped up out of the shadow of Bryan Mbeumo at Brentford this season, scoring seven goals and registering three assists in 26 appearances so far.

Those performances have seen the 24-year-old catch the attention of a number of clubs, including Tottenham, who are keen to strenghten their attacking options in the summer as they look to rebuild their squad.

According to a report in Germany, via Sport Witness, Bayern Munich are another side showing an interest in the German forward, but Brentford's asking price of €70m (£60m) is too high for them, as they see him being cover for Luis Diaz on the wings, rather than as an immediate starter.

Schade would be open to an exit from the Gtech Community Stadium this summer, and it is revealed in the same report that the player has already been offered to both Tottenham and Chelsea for a summer deal by his agent.

Spurs' interest was first reported ahead of the January window, but a deal didn't materialise. However, their interest has been retained despite Frank's sacking last month.

Schade Would Start for Tottenham

Tottenham know they need to bring in new options on the wings this summer, and Schade could fit in perfectly.

Mathys Tel has struggled for consistency and could look to move on, while Wilson Odobert is recovering from an ACL injury, and Richarlison is expected to leave at the end of the season. That would create a pathway for Schade to come in and make an immediate impact.

GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT what Schade would add to the Tottenham squad if he signed, and this was its response:
