Tottenham appear set to continue their recent overhaul of their squad in the upcoming January window.

The Lilywhites secured eight new additions to their ranks over the summer, as they attempted to move on from the group who finished Ange Postecoglou’s troubled reign.

Mohammed Kudus has arguably been Tottenham’s best summer buy, as he already appears to be one of the first names on the teamsheet, less than 10 games into his stint in N17.

Thomas Frank will surely be delighted with the way that his squad is shaping up, but the sheer number of summer incomings is likely to result in departures this winter.

Tottenham told to try and sell Richarlison to Crystal Palace

Richarlison has struggled at Tottenham over the years, and there is still speculation that he could soon depart the club, despite his strong start to the season.

MORE SPURS STORIES

Crystal Palace are now understood to be eyeing a surprise move for the Brazilian, with his former club Fluminense also keen to take him back to his homeland, according to Bolavip.

The Lilywhites are said to value the striker in the region of £20-25million, which is a far cry from the £60m package that it took to prize him away from Everton back in 2022.

Ex-Spurs scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes that the North Londoners should be doing everything that they can to try and entice Palace into doing a deal for Richarlison.

“Without doubt (they should be doing business with Palace),” King said.

“If anybody comes in for Richarlison and offers that kind of money, then I’d bite their hands off if I were Spurs.

“I think it will be a case of taking whatever they can get for him. Because he hasn’t exactly set the world alight since he’s been at Tottenham. Across all the managers who have been there.

“But, I’d be very surprised if another Premier League club bought him.”

Spurs have to take whatever they can get for Richarlison

There had been suggestions that Richarlison could be in line for a new Tottenham contract at the end of the season, but with his form having dipped since then, it feels an unlikely prospect at the moment.

With that in mind, they are surely not in a position to be too demanding in terms of the money that they would want in order to entertain a sale.

The frontman is out of contract in the summer of 2026, and it now seems inevitable that Spurs will make a significant loss on him regardless of how the situation plays out.

As a result, they would surely be better served by lowering that valuation to ensure that they can find a suitor.
