Seven goals in seven games is all it took to catapult Rodrigo Muniz into the big time, as he began 2025 with a bang. Unlike fellow countryman Richarlison, who has battled to stay fit and suffered, we were told, with mental health issues, Muniz looks rather investable.

Also, Muniz’s exceptional form could make this Brazilian a great piece of business, despite the magic effect of his Premier League experience, which is likely to have a significant effect on his transfer value.

Rodrigo Muniz is an eye-catcher

The question in the mind of the attacker, who has already been the subject of a failed bid from Leeds United, is whether his initial struggle to make his name at Fulham has endeared playing for the Cottagers, or the 24-year-old would be looking to trade up and move to Tottenham.

The boy is on a modest deal at Fulham, but after the interest from Leeds and now Give Me Sport believe that the Whites’ option to extend the deal by another year suddenly looks like a financial godsend.

Our view on Muniz joining Spurs

For me, this is potentially exciting, but another punt. Quite frankly, the Tottenham squad is bloated with players who are not quite the real deal, and my concern would be that Muniz could become just another one.

At his age, one would expect his career for to perhaps have hit a little sooner, and there’s always a concern that his form at Fulham is a flash in the pan. From Daniel Levy’s perspective, there is very little positive ahead in respect of his future valuation. As he ages, it is unlikely that his worth ever breaks above whatever Spurs might agree to pay for him.

It is the question of if time is on the boy’s side, or he still has it all to do, and the guts of his playing career behind him.
