A recent post from a Tottenham fan account (Change4Tottenham on X) shared what appears to be a screenshot from Marcos Senesi’s Instagram story showing the Spurs cockerel/logo at Hotspur Way, with the caption indicating he “paid a visit.” This aligns with ongoing reports of advanced talks (and a verbal/pre-agreement) for him to join Tottenham on a free transfer this summer, conditional on Spurs staying in the Premier League.

Aston Villa are reported to have offered an annual salary of €4 million. At the same time, Fenerbahçe are prepared to meet Senesi’s €5 million demand, taking advantage of the fact that no transfer fee is required. Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, meanwhile, saw their offers rejected as they fell short of the defender’s expectations.

Tottenham Hotspur have gone further, offering Senesi a contract running until 2030, with an option for an additional year. However, the deal hinges on Spurs retaining their Premier League status, as the player is unwilling to commit to a club facing relegation. Tottenham and Senesi (via his representatives) have reached a verbal/pre-agreement for a free transfer this summer. He is reportedly committed to joining Spurs if we remain in the Premier League.

Senesi is very likely to join Tottenham on a free transfer this summer if Spurs stay up. Nothing is fully signed yet, and the deal could still shift depending on the final Premier League table and competing offers. Reliable sources from the usual suspects, such as David Ornstein, Fabrizio Romano, and Florian Plettenberg, have consistently reported this situation over the past few weeks.
