As usual, Tottenham’s summer transfer window was beginning to drag. There was a bit of business, mostly tying up loose ends regarding already in place loan deals and such.
Spurs transfer business to date has been found to be wanting
Obviously, Mohammed Kudus was picked up from West Ham United, but subsequently, it’s been rather an uneventful mess.
We had the business with Morgan Gibbs-White, of course, which all too smacked of Tottenham being played somewhat by the player and his agent. The fact that Nottingham Forest star only signed an additional one-year deal spoke volumes.
Prior to these conversations, the biggest name linked with a move to Tottenham had been in respect of Eberechi Eze.

That all fell quiet, but now there is the suggestion from a serious source in the business that negotiations could be back on.
Established source provides a glimmer of hope
Paul O’Keefe, an FA intermediary, says that Tottenham have made contact over a deal for Eberechi Eze, and that talks have taken place.
A source from TheBoyHotspur understands that these discussions are thought to have occurred last Thursday. Thomas Frank wants a 10 and has always been on board with signing Eze, despite some mumblings to the contrary!
Arsenal want to bring in Eze as cover for Martin Odegaard and to add competition on the left wing for Gabriel Martinelli, that also didn’t transpire.
What is Johan Lange actually doing at Tottenham?
