Denmark legend Thomas Gravesen has a strong feeling that Thomas Frank will not waste much time before securing a deal for a Danish international midfielder, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
Over the last few days, some outlets have suggested that signing a defensive midfielder is one of Frank’s priorities at Tottenham this summer.
It has been suggested that Frank would like to bring Christian Norgaard to Tottenham, with the pair having a long-standing relationship, having worked together at Brondby as well as in West London.
Spurs are expected to be frustrated in their attempts to land Norgaard, but they could turn their attention to the 31-year-old’s international teammate.
Thomas Frank urged to bring Sporting Lisbon star to Tottenham
Over recent months, some outlets have claimed that Tottenham are big fans of Sporting Lisbon’s Morten Hjulmand, who has emerged as one of the best number sixes in Portugal over the last two years.
Just two weeks ago, TEAMtalk suggested that Hjulmand is ‘one to watch’ for Spurs, suggesting that the Lilywhites may turn their attention to the 25-year-old after being frustrated in their attempts to sign Adam Wharton.
Thomas Gravesen is convinced that Frank will try to take the Sporting star to North London ahead of his first season at Spurs.

The former Real Madrid man said about Hjulmand (via Sport Witness): “He is a captain of calibre. Frank was with Norgaard for several years, and Hjulmand is an improved version and is even younger. That is why I think Frank’s first big purchase for Tottenham Hotspur should be Hjulmand.”
Tottenham will have to break the bank for Morten Hjulmand
However, according to a recent report in A Bola (as relayed by Sport Witness), Sporting has no intention of selling their midfield general this summer.
The outlet claimed that it would take an offer close to €80m (£68.2m) for the club to reconsider its stance on the Denmark international.
