Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford will go head-to-head in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon in north London, with both teams looking for a much-needed win.
Thomas Frank's side are winless in their last five in all competitions, rescuing a late 2-2 draw away at Newcastle in midweek thanks to captain Cristian Romero's double. Keith Andrews' outfit, on the other hand, have lost three of their last five, including against Arsenal in midweek at the Emirates Stadium.
Both sides are dealing with some injury concerns in the build up to this game too, and this is how GIVEMESPORT expects the teams to line up.
Tottenham Team News
Spurs have had a number of injury issues all season long, and Frank is still set to be without at least six first-team players for this game. James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski are long-term absentees with knee injuries, while Dominic Solanke is said to be edging closer to a return following ankle surgery.
But Yves Bissouma (ankle), Kota Takai (thigh) and Radu Dragusin (knee) are yet to feature this season and there is no sign of a return yet.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Frank shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.
"There's competition for that left-side role. We're playing games every third or fourth day so we need rotation but also someone hasn't put their foot down on the left position.
"No [update on Solanke and Kulusevski]. When they are ready to be close to joining the squad then I will provide an update."
Tottenham Predicted XI
Tottenham Predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van De Ven, Spence; Palhinha, Bergvall; Kudus, Xavi Simons, Tel; Kolo Muani.
Tottenham Predicted Substitutes: Kinsky (GK), Udogie (DEF), Danso (DEF), Gray (MID), Bentancur (MID), Sarr (MID), Richarlison (FWD), Johnson (FWD), Odobert (FWD).
With a packed schedule, Frank is likely to rotate his side again for this game and that should see the likes of Djed Spence, Mathys Tel and Xavi Simons come into the starting lineup.
That should see £255,000-a-week duo Richarlison and Brennan Johnson named on the bench, while Rodrigo Bentancur and Destiny Udogie could also be rested.
Brentford Team News
After replacing Frank in the summer, Andrews has had a mixed start to life as Brentford manager and will look to get back to winning ways here. Igor Thiago was rested in midweek but should start once more after coming on as a substitute.
Fabio Carvalho is a long-term absentee after rupturing his ACL, while Antonio Milambo is also out for the season. Josh DaSilva is dealing with a knee issue of his own and won't return until the new year, but Reiss Nelson and Aaron Hickey could return this weekend after missing the Arsenal defeat.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Andrews shared an update on his squad ahead of the game.
"We're in a good place. Lads haven’t done too much since (Wednesday), the exertions of the last two games over a space of a few days, and obviously getting ready for tomorrow against Spurs. So we're in a pretty good place.”
Brentford Predicted XI
Brentford Predicted XI: Kelleher; Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Hickey; Henderson, Jensen; Ouattara, Damsgaard, Schade; Thiago.
Brentford Predicted Substitutes: Valdimarsson (GK), Pinnock (DEF), Ajer (DEF), Henry (DEF), Janelt (MID), Onyeka (MID), Yarmolyuk (MID), Lewis-Potter (MID), Nelson (FWD).
The Bees are likely to go back to the side that saw them claim victory over Burnley last weekend, which means Jordan Henderson, Igor Thiago and Aaron Hickey should return.
