Spurs go into Saturday’s game on the back of a 2-0 win at Chelsea on 24 October, and our prediction is Tottenham 2-1 Crystal Palace. The form and the injury list both point the same way. Palace have lost their last two Premier League games, conceding seven goals, 5-0 at Brighton and 2-0 at home to Newcastle.

The game is at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and kicks off at 5.30pm UK time (17:30) on Saturday 31 October. Sky Sports is the channel listed in this TV channel guide.

Recent form

Spurs have won two, drawn two and lost one of their last five Premier League games. The most recent was the win at Chelsea, and the 3-1 home win over Coventry City on Monday 19 October came just before it. Their only other away game in that run was the 1-1 draw at Manchester United on 10 October.

Palace have won one, drawn one and lost three. Across the five league matches, Spurs have scored eight and conceded five. Palace have scored five and conceded 11, and that gap is the main reason we like the home side.

The all-time record is 69 meetings, with Spurs on 38 wins, Palace on 16 and 15 draws, .

Who is missing

Without Udogie, Spurs’ left side is where we think Palace will test them. Udogie is out with a knee problem and has no return date. Maddison is a doubt at 75% with an unspecified injury, and the FPL app lists Bentancur as suspended until 7 November. On Palace’s side, Sarr and Strand Larsen are both at 75%, with a groin problem and an ankle problem respectively. Neither of them has a return date on the list.

This was written on Thursday, so Friday’s press conferences could change the team news before kick-off. The latest injury news is the page to check for updates. The main risk to the pick is Maddison. If he’s passed fit, a 2-0 scoreline isn’t far away.

Fantasy angle

Van Hecke has 38 points and is owned by 8.0% of FPL managers at £4.9m, the best return of any Spurs defender so far. Kinsky, at £4.4m, is owned by 15.0% and has 32 points. Solanke costs £5.8m, is owned by 1.5% and has 19 points. Kamada is the one to back for a differential. He costs £5.0m, has 32 points and only 0.7% of managers own him.

Spurs then travel to Leeds on Saturday 7 November at 12.30pm UK time. Palace host Liverpool on Sunday 8 November at 2pm UK time.
