Tottenham host Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday and Spurs boss Thomas Frank is desperate for a positive result at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham vs Fulham preview

Fulham did the double over Thomas Frank's Brentford in the Premier League last season and Frank's Spurs side have had a tough build-up to their Saturday-night clash with the Cottagers.

Tottenham were outclassed by Arsenal in last weekend's 4-1 derby defeat before suffering a chaotic 5-3 defeat at Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.

Scoring three times and leading twice against PSG was encouraging for Spurs, whose lack of creativity under Frank has frustrated their fans.

Their xG at Arsenal was just 0.07, with Richarlison's wonder-strike offering scant consolation, and Tottenham have had precious little home comfort this season.

Since a 3-0 win over promoted Burnley on the opening weekend, they have picked up just two points from five home league fixtures.

Spurs needed an injury-time goal to draw 1-1 with bottom club Wolves in September and conceded a late equaliser against Manchester United in their most recent outing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The good news for Tottenham, beaten by Bournemouth, Aston Villa and Chelsea on their own patch, is that Fulham are equally inept away from home.

Marco Silva's men have picked up just one of their 14 points on the road, although they have had tough trips to Brighton, Chelsea, Villa, Bournemouth and Newcastle.

This month's 2-0 loss at Everton was particularly worrying. The Toffees had two goals disallowed and hit the crossbar through James Tarkowski, whose fellow centre-back Michael Keane scored their second goal.

Fulham have looked flaky defending set-pieces so Spurs defender Micky van de Ven is a tempting each-way price to score first.

The Dutchman scored a glorious individual goal against Copenhagen and a thumping header against Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League. He was also on target in September's 3-0 win at West Ham and scored two first-half headers at Everton last month.

In-form Wilson could be Fulham's shooting star

Harry Wilson claimed a hat-trick in Wales's 7-1 World Cup qualifying rout of North Macedonia this month and the Fulham man should be backed to have a shot on target at Tottenham.

A classy free-kick and penalty-taker, Wilson has racked up 21 shots in his last eight league starts including four against leaders Arsenal, five against Wolves and four in last weekend's 1-0 win over Sunderland.

Back Spurs to edge to victory against poor travellers

Tottenham's dismal home performances and Fulham's grim away record make it hard to get excited about either team in the match market.

The Cottagers have scored in three of their last four away defeats so a 2-1 victory for Spurs appeals in the correct-score betting.

Over 2.5 goals

Tottenham's last four matches in all competitions produced 21 goals and Fulham have conceded at least twice in each of their last five Premier League away games.

Kevin Danso to be shown a card

The Austria centre-back is likely to deputise for the suspended Cristian Romero and he has a similarly patchy disciplinary record, picking up three bookings in his last five league appearances.

Alex Iwobi to have one or more shots

Fulham's Iwobi could start in the number-ten role and he has had at least one shot at goal in five of his side's six away games this term.
